Tips for Cholesterol Prevention
1.Cut out all fatty foods i.e. cream, butter, mayonnaise, all fried snacks, pickles, papads, red meat, organ meat, cookies, pastries, sweets, chocolate, ice-cream, etc.
2. Have rice or rice items once in a day.
3.Eat raw salad at both lunch and dinner. Add different coloured vegetables.
4. Say good bye to Alcohol, if you must then a glass of wine once or twice a week maximum
5. Drink 2-3 litre water daily.
6.Use Cinnamon every day, just half a teaspoon of cinnamon helps in managing the cholesterol levels. You can add it to your tea or porridge or even in your gravies.
7.Garlic, contains allicin which has shown to lower total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol and triglycerides. 1-2 cloves a day.
